  • Wat Xiengthong – Luang Prabang’s most iconic temple, a masterpiece of classic Lao architecture with sweeping roofs and intricate mosaics

  • Wat Visoun – known for its impressive stupa and spiritual importance

  • Wat Mai – a beautifully decorated temple once home to sacred Buddhist relics

In the late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi, a sacred hill crowned by a gilded stupa. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city, the Mekong River, and surrounding mountains—especially magical at sunset.

End the day exploring the colorful Luang Prabang Night Market, where local artisans and hill-tribe communities sell handmade textiles, crafts, and souvenirs.

Day 3: Kuang Si Waterfall & Mekong Cruise to Pak Ou Caves

Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, travel through scenic countryside to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, one of Laos’ most beautiful natural wonders. Walk along forest trails or take a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools cascading over limestone tiers.

Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, then embark on a peaceful Mekong River cruise, offering picturesque views of rural life and lush riverbanks.

Highlights of the cruise include:

  • Pak Ou Caves – two sacred limestone caves housing thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues placed by pilgrims over centuries
