DAY 2: The Magnificent Angkor Complex – History & Majesty (B)

Morning Immersion: We start at the monumental South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital city of the Khmer Empire. Explore the captivating Bayon temple with its 200+ smiling stone faces. Continue through the Royal Enclosure, visiting the Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Our visit includes the large, reclining Grand Buddha Statue at the peak and a trek to the "River of a Thousand Lingas" (Shiva Valley), where ancient Hindu carvings adorn the riverbed itself. The journey culminates at the impressive Great Waterfall, where you can relax by the pools.
Artistic Masterpiece: On the return journey, we stop at Banteay Srey, the 10th-century "Citadel of Women." This exquisite, small temple is famous for its rare pink sandstone construction and incredibly detailed, jewel-like carvings—a true highlight of Khmer art.
