Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Siem Reap – Gateway to the Kingdom

Welcome to Siem Reap, the charming provincial capital and gateway to the ancient wonders of the Khmer Empire. Upon landing at Siem Reap International Airport (REP), you will be warmly greeted by your private guide and transferred directly to your pre-selected hotel for check-in. The remainder of your first day is yours to relax, acclimatize, and perhaps take a short stroll to explore the vibrant local surroundings, Pub Street, or the bustling night markets.
  • Accommodation: Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 2: The Magnificent Angkor Complex – Temples & History (B)

After a restorative breakfast, the true magic begins. Your day is dedicated to exploring the heart of the ancient Khmer civilization.
  • Morning Immersion: We drive to the antique walled city of Angkor Thom, founded in the 12th century. Enter via the monumental South Gate, flanked by massive stone statues depicting the mythical Churning of the Ocean of Milk. Within the walls, discover the enigmatic Bayon Temple, famous for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 serene, smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. We continue through the Royal Enclosure, visiting the Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
  • Jungle Embrace: Next, we venture to Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most iconic temples. Left largely untouched since its discovery, this "Tomb Raider" temple is a photographer’s dream, where silk-cotton and strangler fig trees intertwine seamlessly with ancient stone ruins, retaining an air of captivating mystery.
  • Afternoon Majesty: Following lunch (not included), we arrive at the undisputed masterpiece of Khmer architecture: Angkor Wat. This 12th-century marvel, spanning 81 hectares, is the world's largest religious monument. We dedicate the afternoon to exploring its intricate bas-reliefs, five iconic towers, and massive courtyards, learning about its historical and spiritual significance.
  • Sunset Finale: Conclude your day with a breathtaking panoramic sunset view from the top of the pyramid-like Pre Rup temple, watching the warm light wash over the surrounding jungle landscape.
  • Meals: Breakfast included.
  • Accommodation: Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 3: Sacred Mountains & The Pink Temple (B)

Meals: Breakfast included.
Today we trade the main temple circuit for a journey into nature and distant, highly detailed artistry.
  • The Sacred Summit: After breakfast, we drive north to the revered Phnom Kulen Mountains, a significant pilgrimage site for Cambodians. Here, we visit the massive Grand Reclining Buddha statue at the mountaintop pagoda. Our journey continues to the "River of a Thousand Lingas," where intricate carvings are visible in the riverbed itself, a testament to ancient spiritual practices. We conclude our mountain visit at the majestic Great Waterfall, where you may take a refreshing dip (weather permitting).
  • Citadel of Women: On our return journey to Siem Reap, we stop at the exquisite Banteay Srey temple. Known as the "Citadel of Women" or the "Pink Temple," this 10th-century structure is famous for its diminutive scale and unbelievably intricate, deep-relief carvings in rose-pink sandstone—often considered the finest in all of Khmer art.
  • Historical Gem: We make a final stop at the equally beautiful, yet less visited, Banteay Samre Temples before returning to your hotel for the evening.
  • Accommodation: Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 4: Tonlé Sap Lake & Departure (B)

Savor your final breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Your last morning in Cambodia offers a fascinating cultural insight into a unique way of life.
  • Floating Village Experience: We journey to the edge of the vast Tonlé Sap Lake—Southeast Asia’s largest permanent freshwater lake—to the unique stilted community of Kampong Phluk village. Hop aboard a local boat for an immersive tour, witnessing a vibrant, self-sufficient "floating village" lifestyle, complete with floating schools, markets, and police stations that rise and fall with the annual monsoon water levels.
  • Farewell Cambodia: After the boat tour and a final lunch (not included), your private vehicle will transfer you directly to Siem Reap International Airport (REP) for your onward flight to your next destination.
  • Meals: Breakfast included.
  • Accommodation: None.
