Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang – Leisure & First Impressions

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Nestled between the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, Luang Prabang is considered the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia.

The rest of the day is free to relax or explore at your own pace—wander along colonial streets, enjoy riverside cafés, or simply soak in the calm spiritual atmosphere that defines this UNESCO-listed town.

Day 2: Luang Prabang City Tour & Night Market

Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, begin a guided cultural exploration of Luang Prabang’s most revered landmarks:

  • Wat Sene – the city’s oldest temple

  • Wat Xiengthong – Luang Prabang’s architectural jewel, showcasing classic Lao temple design

  • Wat Visoun – known for its historic stupa and religious importance

  • Wat Mai – richly decorated and once home to sacred relics

In the late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi, crowned by a gilded stupa. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the old town and the Mekong River glowing at sunset.

Day 3: Kuang Si Waterfall & Mekong Cruise to Pak Ou Caves

After breakfast, journey through scenic countryside to the magnificent Kuang Si Waterfall. Enjoy time to swim in turquoise pools, walk forest trails, or simply admire the cascading tiers surrounded by lush greenery.

Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon and board a traditional boat for a Mekong River cruise, offering stunning views of rural villages and river life.
