Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – City Tour

Meals: None
Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi! Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, meet your English-speaking guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in (standard check-in time from 2:00–3:00 PM; early check-in is not included).

In the afternoon, begin your Hanoi city exploration:

  • Ho Chi Minh Complex: Visit the Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho’s stilt house, fish pond, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, symbolizing purity and compassion.

  • Tran Quoc Pagoda: The oldest pagoda in Hanoi, located on the serene West Lake.

  • Temple of Literature: Vietnam’s first university, built in 1070, dedicated to Confucius and scholars.

Later, enjoy a traditional cyclo ride through the bustling Old Quarter, where narrow lanes are filled with colonial buildings, cafés, and vibrant shops.
Return to your hotel and relax for the night.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay Day Cruise (B, L)

After breakfast, depart from your hotel for a scenic drive (around 2.5 hours) to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its emerald waters and limestone karsts.

Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Marina, check in at the cruise lounge and receive a short briefing before boarding your day cruise.

As your cruise sets sail, take in the panoramic beauty of thousands of limestone islands rising from the sea.

Highlights of the day include:

  • Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave: Walk through the most magnificent and spacious grotto in Halong Bay with incredible stalactites and stalagmites.

  • Luon Cave: Enjoy kayaking or a bamboo boat ride through this beautiful lagoon surrounded by cliffs.

  • Titop Island: Relax on the sandy beach or hike to the summit for a breathtaking 360° view of the bay.

A fresh seafood lunch is served on board while you cruise past natural wonders like Ho Dong Tien Cave, Me Cung Cave, and Trong Cave.

On your return journey, enjoy afternoon tea as the boat passes by Heaven’s Gate, Dog Stone Islet, Incense Burner Islet, and the famous Fighting Cock Islet.

At around 5:30 PM, disembark and transfer back to Hanoi by evening.

Day 3: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Trang An – Hanoi

After breakfast, drive south through the scenic countryside to Ninh Binh Province, often called “Halong Bay on Land.”

Your first stop is Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the first capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. Visit the temples of King Dinh and King Le, beautifully set amidst limestone peaks and green rice fields. Learn about Vietnam’s early dynasties and admire the ancient architecture.

In the afternoon, head to Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here, embark on a peaceful rowing boat trip along a river that winds through towering karst cliffs, hidden caves, and lush valleys. Depending on the water level, you may pass through three to six caves, each revealing unique rock formations and biodiversity.

Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Shopping & Departure

Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before spending your free time shopping for souvenirs in the Old Quarter, or explore local boutiques and modern malls.

Later, check out and transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight.
